Field Day
Get ready for one of the most exciting days of the school year—Field Day! It’s a time for fun, friendly competition, and tons of school spirit. Here’s everything families need to know to be part of the action.
Field Day Schedule
Each grade level will have its own Field Day session:
Thursday, May 18
- Pre-K & Kindergarten: 8:30–11:00 AM
- 1st & 2nd Grade: 11:30 AM–2:00 PM
Friday, May 19
- 3rd & 4th Grade: 8:30–11:00 AM
- 5th Grade: 11:30 AM–2:00 PM
What to Expect
Students will rotate through a series of classic Field Day games, team events, and lighthearted competitions. Think relay races, water games, and plenty of laughs. It’s all about participation, sportsmanship, and celebration!
Who’s in Charge
Coach Richetta and Coach Davis (Toomer P.E. teachers) live for Field Day! They work with each teacher to ensure that every child is included in an activity and for the past few weeks have been introducing students to the activities so each child knows what to expect.
What Students Should Bring
- Comfortable clothes (their field day t-shirt!) and athletic shoes
- A full water bottle
- Sunscreen applied at home
- A hat or sunglasses (optional, but helpful)
- Tons of energy and team spirit!
How Parents Can Help
We need YOU to make Field Day a success. Parents are invited to:
- Lend us your tent for the day to help create shady spots for students and spectators.
- Donate snacks and water to keep our kids energized! We are working with room parents to ensure each classroom has snacks, but we anticipate we will need some extras on hand!
- Volunteer to help setup, run stations or assist with crowd control. To help out your child’s individual class, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
- Order your student a t-shirt. Each child will receive a t-shirt, but we depend on your donations to make this happen!
- Pre-order your child a snow cone! The PTA has committed to ensuring each child gets a snow cone, but we need your help to make that happen!
Let’s make this year’s Field Day the most memorable one yet. Thank you for helping bring the fun!
